It was the bright and beautiful Sunday 18 January 2009 morning when Pastor Prakash Jacob, his wife Suni and son Steve kneeled down in a small room to pray without any guest attending the first prayer service in Brisbane. The following weeks many people started attending the prayer service and soon the service grew with 9 families with their children regularly attending the meeting. Holy Spirit directed us to include Sunday school and Bible Study, apart from worship, sermon and fasting prayer.
In November 2009 the APA Church witnessed its first person baptised in water, who was born and brought up in a traditional Hindu family in India. In the following months, several other non-Christians accepted the eternal salvation and were baptised in water. Several individuals of orthodox Hindu beliefs realised the love of God, when they started attending APA Church. They have thrown away their idols and are worshipping in APA Church in truth and Spirit.
Our desire and vision is not only to preach, but also to practice what we preach to others. APA members are focused to step down into individuals and families, listen to them, personally pray with them, love them and help them where possible. APA members believe in "love in action" where we put God's love first rather than us preaching only.
Our church members have experienced the wonder-working hands of God answering several prayers requests that moved mountains of impossibilities. "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." (2 Chronicles 16:9).
APA Church regards all members united in "the body of Christ" without any division and we come together in one accord to worship our Lord Jesus Christ and glorify the name of Father God in truth and Spirit.
